holiday gift giving for any budget

It’s the end of September, so that means it’s time to be thinking about the last 3 months of the year. Gathering your paperwork and receipts for the taxman, planning for trick or treaters and whose home will be used for family gatherings and feasts. And you don’t want to forget the people who have made your business possible. Here’s a list of ideas that are sure to make your clients feel special.

Smart Technology - Of course I would start the list with tech! There are tons of fun things on the market from accessories that turn your outlets into USB hubs and bots that you can talk to like the Echo and Google Home.

Holiday-themed Gifts - In October, create a scary delicious bowl with assorted candies or host a pumpkin decorating party. For a more Fall Harvest themed gift, donate to a local food bank or charity in your client’s name, then send them a card letting them know.

November and December are filled with pie, ham, and turkey. This is the perfect opportunity to call your past clients and take their pie order, then hand-deliver (or ship if they are out of town) it a few days before the holiday feast. Ham or turkey more your thing? Get them a gift card to local grocery store or Honey Baked Ham and attach your favorite stuffing or holiday side recipe.

Personalized gifts - This could be a personalized ornament that includes their name and the date they bought their home or commission a sketch or painting of their home. Are these already lifelong clients? Personalize something they can use every day like coasters, a new doormat, or a customized "family rules" canvas.

When selecting gifts, remember to keep your client in mind and avoid branded items that focus on you. You want your clients to remember how special you made them feel and tell all their friends.

Leave a comment below and tell me about your favorite gifts to give.
